Why do I need Babelabout?

If you have a customer who wants to send or receive documents:

  • via electronic messages - such as orders, inventory, delivery notes, goods receipt, invoices, etc.
  • in a specific format - such as EDIFACT, TRADACOM, XML, IDoc, etc.
  • using a specific transport protocol - such as FTP, HTTP(S), X.400, AS2, etc.
With Babelabout, you do not have to buy any specific software, nor worry about the technical specifications of the connection with your customer.

How does Babelabout work?

With Babelabout, you just provide a file, containing all the necessary information, in the format that is the most conveniently created by your IT system. You send this file to the Babelabout platform over the Internet and it will be translated into the format required by your customer, and delivered according to their specific requirements.

This service can also provide you with translated messages coming from your customer, either in a structure which can be directly imported into your IT system, or in a human-readable format.

How much does it cost to use Babelabout?

Nothing so far, as currently, it is still just a project However, the latest business analysis gives an estimated price of 0.05 EUR (excluding VAT) per KB. This will only take into account the actual size of the messages exchanged with your customer.
